#  Advancing Environmental Justice in Chelsea 

 



The Field Lab partnered with the City of Chelsea and the Environmental Protection Agency to support environmental justice planning and access to federal funding.

 ### Project Summary

Students worked with city and federal partners to analyze environmental justice indicators and identify strategies to help Chelsea access Justice40 funding. The project supported efforts to overcome barriers to federal grant eligibility and implementation.



 

 ### Areas of Focus

The team examined environmental justice metrics, federal grant programs, technical assistance models, and place-based funding strategies. The analysis focused on aligning local needs with federal funding opportunities to address disproportionate environmental and public health burdens.
