#  Budgeting for Stormwater Management 

 



The Field Lab partnered with the Town of Hingham to examine financial and budgeting considerations associated with meeting federally mandated stormwater management requirements.

 ### Project Summary

Students worked with Town staff to analyze funding approaches and financial considerations related to stormwater infrastructure and compliance with federal regulations, including the potential impacts on municipal revenues.



 

 ### Areas of Focus

The team examined financing approaches for stormwater management, including grants, budget allocations, and fee structures; benchmarking practices across peer communities; and spatial analysis of impervious surfaces and runoff patterns.
