#  Financing School Construction for Boston Public Schools 

 



The Field Lab partnered with Boston Public Schools to examine alternative financing models for large-scale school construction and renovation projects.

 ### Project Summary

Students worked with BPS and City of Boston staff to analyze funding options for the Green New Deal for Boston Public Schools, a multi-billion-dollar facilities modernization initiative. The project aimed to identify financing approaches beyond traditional municipal bonds.



 

 ### Areas of Focus

The team examined public asset management, alternative financing structures, public-private partnerships, and legal and administrative constraints on school construction funding.
