#  Micro Municipal Bonds Screening Criteria 

 



The Field Lab partnered with Neighborly and the Cities of Cambridge and Somerville to explore the use of micro municipal bonds. The project supported efforts to identify cities that may be well suited for smaller-scale bond issuances.

Students worked with public and private partners to analyze the financial characteristics of municipalities and criteria relevant to issuing micro municipal bonds. The project aimed to support innovation in municipal finance.



 

 ### Ares of Focus

The team examined criteria for identifying cities suitable for micro-bonds, municipal finance characteristics across New England cities, and potential applications of micro-bonds for local governments.
