#  Parking Meters: Projected Impact of Changes to Rates and Hours 

 



The Field Lab partnered with the City of Boston to evaluate the fiscal impact of proposed changes to parking meter rates and hours of operation.

Students developed a financial model to estimate how adjustments to rates, hours, operability, and meter deployment would affect revenue and operating costs.



 

 ### Area of Focus

The team analyzed meter operability, occupancy levels, excess collection capacity, behavioral responses to price changes, and cost implications of rate and policy adjustments.
