#  South Boston Power Station Analysis 

 



The Field Lab partnered with the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority to examine financial and operational characteristics of the South Boston Power Station.

Students worked with MBTA staff to analyze current conditions at the South Boston Power Station, including capital needs, operating costs, revenue characteristics, and the role of the facility within the broader transit system.



 

 ### Areas of Focus

The team examined capital requirements, operating costs, revenue characteristics, and payback periods associated with potential capital upgrades, as well as the role of the facility as a strategic asset within the MBTA system.
